European travel on a tight budget
Let’s face it, holidaying in Europe can be an expensive business. This is especially so given the weakness of the Pound.
So, is it possible to travel in Europe without breaking the bank? The answer to this question, in our case, is Romania. Or, to be more specific Transylvania!
With a flight time of under three hours, from a range of UK airports, getting to Romania is relatively quick. As an example – using Wizz Air from Luton, return flights can be had readily from circa £40.
Romania is also one of the cheapest destinations in Europe, meaning that your hard-earned money goes further. A lot further!
- Accommodation price
- Food prices – a nice meal for two including a bottle of wine £30
- Beer £1.50 pint
- Entry
- Public transport
- Gimmick
Despite its low prices, there is a real richness to the many attractions of Romania; it has so much to offer – oodles of history, superb countryside, smashing people, and surprisingly good food.
